About Best Paystub Generators

Search for a paystub generator and you get ten vendors selling their own product, plus a listicle assembled by someone who did not open any of them. There is no independent place to compare what these tools actually cost or what they actually do.

That gap is the whole reason for this site. The useful thing to build is not another opinion — it is a structured, sourced record of what each vendor states, laid out so a reader can see the differences in one place and check every figure themselves.

Three things. First, every value carries its source and the date we read it, visible on the page rather than buried in a footnote. Second, where a vendor does not publish something, we print “Not stated” instead of an estimate — a vendor’s silence is itself information. Third, we publish no scores or star ratings of our own, because we have not tested these tools end to end and we will not pretend otherwise.

We cover choosing, comparing and correctly using paystub generators. We do not cover falsifying income documents, and we publish nothing aimed at someone trying to get a document past a landlord or a lender. Generating a stub for income you earned is record-keeping. Producing one for income you did not earn is fraud, and that is not a readership we want.

The data behind this site was checked September 2026. Pricing is re-checked quarterly and every value carries its own date, so you can see how fresh any individual figure is rather than trusting a single “last updated” stamp at the top of a page.
